The project aims at the pilot use of special feeds in poultry hens for the production of eggs rich in vitamin D.
The implementation of this program will achieve the production of two categories of products of high nutritional and added value (feed and eggs) thus contributing to the sustainability and development of the feed and poultry industries.
This will contribute to the stimulation of entrepreneurship and employment, especially in sensitive sectors of the economy, such as primary production and processing of agricultural products. Indirect benefits exist also for producers of the raw materials of feed such as cereals and maize. The new products, due to their innovation and high nutritional value, are also suitable for export.
The implementation of the program can provide benefits to the entire society beyond the Operational Group and, most importantly, contribute to solving a significant public health problem.
